Xiaomi has launched its version of a smartwatch, called Mi Band, in India. The watch is priced at Rs. 4,000. The watch is a basic version, but you can check your notifications and call the numbers without the need of taking out your smartphone. The same version will be launched in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
Xiaomi’s new Redmi Watch is available for pre-order in India from today, and those who have chosen the ‘Standard Edition’ can now place their order. The new smartwatch is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 425 processor, and it runs the latest MIUI 8.2.2 on top of Android Oreo. It has an all-metal body, with a 46mm in diameter circular touchscreen with a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels, and a 350mAh battery. It can last for up to a day on a single charge, and it has basic functions such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS with A-GPS, compass, heartrate monitor and a few others.
Xiaomi India today announced the Redmi Watch alongside the Redmi Note 7 Pro, which are the latest devices from the company. Both these devices are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processors with Adreno 509 GPU. The Redmi Watch will be available for Rs. 4,000 for the base model, and Rs. 4,999 for the top-end variant.

It has a six-axis sensor, a geomagnetic sensor, an ambient noise sensor and a heart rate sensor for better tracking. The watch has features for heart rate, sleep pattern, reminder, weather and women’s health. With a battery capacity of 230 mAh, the Redmi Watch will last 10 days under normal use. You can view smart notifications, messages and reminders when you pair your watch with your phone. It supports both Android and iOS devices, and you can use the Xiaomi Wear app to pair your watch.
